Obituary of June (Teupel) Freelove

On Wednesday March 24, 2021 June (Teupel) Freelove of Groton, NY was ushered into the arms of Jesus at the age of 91. June was born April 23, 1929 in Kirk, South Dakota to parents Fredrick and Gertrude (Milks) Teupel. She was raised by her Aunt Percie Lapp in McGraw New York. In July of 1946 she married the love of her lifetime Arthur Freelove. They had three daughters Verna, Judy and Julie. June lived her life by the "Golden Rule" Do onto others as you would have them do onto you. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. June was a retired secretary at Cortland Memorial Hospital. June loved gardening, baking, knitting, painting, fishing and traveling. She loved singing praises to God, playing the piano and accordion. June was preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings,husband Arthur Freelove and daughter Verna Persons. She is survived by daughters Judy Crockford, Julie (Walter) Baschnagel. Grandchildren Todd (Sara) DelMarter, Alison Younes, Armond (Pamela) Crockford, Amy (Ruth) Crockford-Quenette, Elizabeth (Christopher) Scofield, Angela (Douglas) Gellatley, and five great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 on May 1, 2021 at the Church of Blodget Mills, 3333 Clute Road, Blodget Mills, NY. Donations can be made to the MS Foundation and the SPCA.
