ryden - Beverly Jean Brown, 87 years old, of Dryden, NY went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2021. She was born in Whitney Point, NY on December 10, 1933 to John and Edith Richards Spencer.
She was employed as a secretary to several doctors and retired in 1995 from Anesthesia Associates of Cortland. She was an avid bingo and card player and enjoyed bowling (inducted into the Cortland Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame), camping, reading, and writing poetry. She was a past Noble Grand of Otselic Rebekah Lodge in Whitney Point, NY and Clover Rebekah Lodge in Dryden, NY. She was past president of Dryden Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8158 Ladies Auxiliary and a life member of Finger Lakes Veterans of Foreign Wars 961 Ladies Auxiliary of Ithaca, NY.
She was a life associate member of Sampson Airforce Base Veterans Association. She was a member of Dryden and Virgil Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her two daughters Staci Jo Brown of Dryden, NY and Tammi Lynne (William) Soyring of Whitney Point and one sister Audrey Saxid of Manassas, VA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband , Lynn Charles Brown of 63 years, her parents John and Edith Spencer, a brother Ivan Spencer, and a sister Jister Doris McGee.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
