Obituary of Michael Lee Sorensen

Michael Lee Sorensen —husband, father, son, brother, and friend, ended his long struggle with mental health on Saturday, May 29, 2021. He is survived by his wife; Sandra, his children, Kelsey, Noah, Emma, Gabriella, Elise, his parents, Thomas and Carol Sorensen, his siblings Wayne and Michelle, and numerous extended family members and friends. Michael attended Multnomah Bible College, had a BA and BS in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University and an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell. He was a business partner in Segal and Sorensen Construction. Michael was extra, full-tilt, over the top, and bigger than life. He loved biking with his friends, hiking with his wife, snowboarding with his children, and thrifting with his sister. A memorial service will be held at Bethel Grove Bible Church in Ithaca on June 26, 2021 at noon. The service will be livestreamed through the Bethel Grove Bible Church YouTube Channel.
