Obituary of Amy L. Evans
Amy Louise Evans, 56, of Ithaca, NY passed away peacefully on January 11, 2019 at Cayuga Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 109 Oak Ave Ithaca on Thursday, January 17 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Rick Bair officiating.
Amy was born in Ithaca NY to Charles and Jo Ann Evans on November 1, 1962. She attended Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga Boces, graduating in 1983. She worked at Challenge Industries for 5 years. Amy volunteered at the SPCA and Tomkins County Library. She enjoyed swimming, water classes and working out at the gym. She was the recipient of several awards from Special Olympics for soccer kicking, swimming and bowling.
Amy is survived by her parents, Charles and Jo Ann Evans of Tucson AZ, older brother, Jonathan (Becky) Evans of Tucson AZ, younger brother Paul Evans of Toronto Canada, an Uncle, John D. (Claudia) Brewster of Knoxville TN and Aunt, Karen (Roger) Nadzo of Syracuse. Amy also leaves behind her loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nephew.
Memorial donations may be made to Franziska Racker Center, 3226 Wilkins Rd, Ithaca NY 14850 or St Luke Lutheran Church, 109 Oak Ave, Ithaca NY 14850. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Racker Center for their care, love and support of Amy.
