Bob is survived by his wife Sharon (Spotts), together for 44 years, sons Chris (Karyn) Ripley, Andy Pierce (Melissa and Nate), Ben Pierce (Hannah), grandsons Jared, Jordon and Jace, all of Elmira, sister Sheila (Dave) Pizura of Pulteney, NY as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews., loved pets Taz, Jackson, Patrick, and especially Bridges, rescued on the Wellsburg Bridge. Bob worked for 35 plus years at Economic Opportunity Program as Weatherization Director. He coached baseball at Southport Recreation for many years, known by his players as "Coach Bob." Known as the "Mayor of Turn 11" at Watkins Glen International, Bob had gone to the races since he was 16 years old, and never missed a NASCAR race. Bob enjoyed many adventures fishing and hunting in PA and NY and enjoyed riding dirt bikes in Enduro's in the Southern Tier in his younger days. Bob became a very avid golfer, golfing almost every day once he retired in 2015. Bob enjoyed his membership at Mark Twain Golf Course and golfing much of the winter at Tomasso's. Rumor has it he golfed better than most because he was closer to the ball. Words don't really express the feelings from the last few weeks; however, we know there will be a time when all of our memories, currently bringing about sadness, will lead to big smiles and often laughter so hard it will make our stomachs hurt. We love you and will miss you for the rest of our days! A very special thank you to the many amazing people who have gotten in touch or have stopped over with kind words and amazing support. A tough day was made so much easier thanks to each and every one of you. Please join Bob's family and friends at Tomasso's Golf Course - Restaurant, 398 County Road 60 in Waverly, NY 14892 on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M.
