Obituary of Jeanette A. Courtney

Jeanette Amy Courtney, 79,  went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2019. She was born on February 9, 1940 in Cortland, NY. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years George Courtney Sr; and their children, George (Sue) Courtney Jr, Connie (Gary)James, Judy (Dean) Perry, James (Cecelia) Courtney, and John (Culleen) Courtney, as well as 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy (Richard) Kimball and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son Randy (Peggy) Courtney and her parents  Errol and Rose (Elliot) Fisk; sisters, Naomi (Stephen) VanKuren, Martha (Carl) Loomis, Hazel (Wilfred) Quail, Lucille (James) Gilbert, Bertha (William) Allen, Marge (Bud) Baker and her brother, Gerald (Jeanne) Fisk. Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and gardening. She was beautiful both inside and out. A celebration of life will be held on December 15th at 2 pm at the Marathon Civic Center.
