Obituary of Gary Dell Nash

Gary Dell Nash died May 5, 2021, at the age of 74. Over the last few years, he fought hard in a battle with pancreatic cancer. He spent his final days surrounded by family and friends at his home in Etna, NY. At his request, no formal service will be held. There will be a gathering at the Dryden American Legion Saturday, May 8 from 4pm-7pm to celebrate his life and share cherished memories with each other. All are welcome to attend. Gary was born on September 16, 1946 in Ithaca, NY, a son of the late Marvin and Mary (Fox) Nash. He grew up in the Dryden area and was a graduate of Dryden High School. His yearbook quote stated "long live the party, let joy be unconfined" and he lived up to that motto. Gary was a master carpenter who built the home that he lived in until his death. Many good times were shared there over the years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Gary is survived by his significant other, Laura Park; 2 daughters, Cindy Nash and JoAnne Andersen (Chris); 2 grandchildren, Macen and Madeline Andersen; 3 brothers, Brud, Dan, and Tracy Nash; sister, Sherry Dennison; and several nieces and nephews.
