Obituary of William Spoon

Bill Spoon left this world on June 19. 2021 to rumble through Heaven on his Harley Davidson. Bill was a Harley man through and through, riding was his favorite pass time and he enjoyed every minute. Bill worked for NYSEG for 20 years and built many close friendships with his fellow workers, which continued long after he was forced to retire due to a lung disease, he truly loved his friends and kept in touch with them often. Bill was a man with a kind and generous heart and would help anyone he could. His sense of humor will be missed forever. Bill is survived by his wife and best friend Diane, step-daughters Amber Ferris and Kimberly Bergen, grandson Trevor Bergen, mother Rosalie Lawrence, step-mother Celeste Spoon, brother Charlie Spoon, step-brothers Timmy (Kim) Lawrence, Mark Lawrence (Wallace Dowd), Mike Lawrence, Tom Bartlett, Scott Bartlett, and Jody Bartlett. Nephew Corey Spoon. Also his very close friends Scott and Sandy Grooms, Tracy Grooms, Dave Peak, Otis Phillips, Jeff Lovejoy, Dan Addy, Donny Liddington, Richard Shippos, Jeff Kelley, and many others he considered family. Bill was pre-deceased by his brother Kevin "wing-nut" Spoon, father Richard Spoon and step-father Vic Lawrence.
