Obituary of Ronald Lee Harding

Beloved Father, Grandfather and Teacher, Ronald L. Harding passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side on November 17, 2021 in Ithaca, NY. He is preceded in Death by his aunt, Mrs. Lottie Johnson, and his parents, Powis and Viola Harding of Elmira NY. Ron was a retired middle school teacher, which was one of his biggest passions in life. He prided himself in his school and students and enjoyed sharing his passion for learning with thousands of children over the years. You would often find him sharing a funny anecdote with his students or fellow colleagues. The simplest pleasures in life brought Ron the greatest joy, he enjoyed reading, writing, listening to jazz , editing his latest novel the Dolphin Shelf, cooking, and working in his yard. His greatest joy in life was being a Father and Grandfather. He was his happiest when talking to them or about them. He is survived by his daughter, Rohna C. Sims, Stepsons Leland Sparks and Donald Sparks, Granddaughters Raihni Duncan & Rihley Sims, Grandson, Dylan Sims and Great Grandson Dominic Duncan. Private Memorial services will be held in Redondo Beach, CA. at a later date
