Susan S. Card, 73, of Cortland New York passed away Tuesday December 27, 2022 at home with her family. Susan was born June 9, 1949 in Montclair New Jersey before relocating to Central NY with her parents; the late Phyllis and Allison Sautter. A graduate of Marathon Central High School, Susan obtained an Associates degree in Travel & Tourism from Tompkins Cortland Community College. Much of Susan’s career was spent working as a Certified Travel Consultant for local travel agencies. She took great pride in helping people put together the very best itineraries for their travel needs. Her love of travel took her and her husband, Donald Card, on many adventures across the globe. Susan is also survived by her daughter Stephanie C Schumacher of Homer NY; her grandsons Alexander, Nathaniel, and Connor Schumacher; her sisters Carolyn Zelsnack of Freetown NY and Christine Macomber of Columbus NJ; her brothers Stephen Scott Sautter of Cincinnatus NY and William Mark Sautter of Marathon NY; her half-brother Frederick Sautter of Portland OR; her Goddaughter Cassidy Lynn Crouch of Nashville TN; and many nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the family’s convenience. Donations may be made to www.globalfundforwomen.org or www.worldwildlife.org in her memory.
