Jan, so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He and I formed the singing ensemble VOICES, that still performs today. We both worked so hard in the early 2000s, starting with maybe 5 singers to grow to some 120 before I moved on from Ithaca. My wife and I were at your lovely home during those years, Jim was a great host and we sat outside in your beautifully landscaped property under a huge tree I think. I had the pleasure of knowing Jim for about 10 years, and will miss his enthusiasm about all he did during that time.

Jim and I worked together on various environmental issues over the years. More recently, we would meet on our walks in or near Varna and invariably have a most interesting conversation. I am so sorry to learn of his passing and will miss him. He was a tremendous asset to the community.

Jan, I am so very sorry for the pain you are going through now. The first time I saw Jim was after one of our concerts. It was very late and the two of you were sitting on a step together, leaning against each other, his arm around you. It was such a sweet moment, and I remember thinking how glad I was that you had this lovely, obviously loving relationship. May that love wrap you in its sweet stength now and forever.
