Obituary of Charles Spoon

He was predeceased by his father Richard Spoon, stepfather Ernest “Vic” Lawrence, and brothers Kevin Spoon and William Spoon. He is survived by his mother, Rosalie Lawrence, step mother, Celeste Spoon, and nephew, Corey Spoon, sisters in law, Vicki Spoon and Diane Spoon, his stepbrothers Tim (Kim) Lawrence, Mark Lawrence (Wallace Dowd), Mike Lawrence, Tom Bartlett, Scott Bartlett, and Jody Bartlett and multiple cousins and close friends including, Gary and Jerry Westbrook, Joe Warner, Mike and Amy Ford, Scott and Sandie Grooms, Tracy Grooms, Shani Skinner, Jeff Lovejoy, Jackie Lane, Debbie Lanzilottta and John Goldsmith plus many others. And his very best friend, Harley, the house dog who brought more happiness and joy to Charlie’s life than the rest of us will ever know. Charlie was a free-spirited man who owned little more than his hearty chuckle. Early in life, Charlie learned Latin as part of his dream of being a pharmacist. He was a talented finished carpenter and mason, building one of a kind, custom creations for friends throughout the years. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening as well as attending carnivals, derby’s and traveling to see different airshows. But in his own words “My favorite thing to do is – relaxing” Donations can be made in Charlie’s name to SPCA of Tompkins county or Hospicare and Palliative Care Services o Ithaca. A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
