Fern Buckingham Smith Ferris was born August 10, 1926, passed away February 14, 2023. Daughter of Albert and Gladys Lobdell Buckingham. Wife of Earl W. Smith, who died July 21, 1975, and Spencer Ferris, who died March 16, 2016.
Survivors include daughters Roxie Carman, Diana (John) Lawrence, Joyce (Ron) Denmark, Debra Smith. Fourteen grandchildren, Raymond Hubbard, Rhonda Cornish, Christopher Lawrence, Tammy Hubbell, Kevin, James, and Cory Lawrence, Karen Callaway, Tina Smith, Jennifer Landon, Tracy Landon, Timothy, Aimes, and Holly Morais, 26 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brother Earl Buckingham Sr., and great grandson Robert Cornish.
She was a retiree of Cornell Cooperative Extension. She was a past president of the Enfield Ladies Auxiliary, and County Fireman’s Auxiliary, and was a member of the State Fireman’s Auxiliary. She also served on the Enfield Town Board.
Services will be private.
