Obituary of Willis R. Baker

Willis Baker, 77, of Newfield, New York passed away recently at his residence. Willis was born in Bolivar, New York on May 10,1939 to Earl and Theresa (Cass) Baker. Willis was preceded in death by his wife Katherine, and son Kenneth; and also a sister from Massachusetts, Jane Henehan. Willis has resided most of his life in Newfield and retired following 44 years as a machinist, and supervisor, at Morse Chain. Willis was a devoted husband and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Surviving is a daughter, Darlene of Ithaca; three brothers, George (Sarah) of Waverly, Carl (Christine) of Florida, and Robert of Connecticut. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 20, at 11 AM at the Waverly Methodist Church ( 158 Chemung St, Waverly, NY). Pastor Ann Canfield will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity House of Ithaca, care of Darlene Baker.
