Obituary of Josephine Hurst

Josephine Hurst, 82 of Willseyville, New York, died peacefully on August 22, 2018. She was born on January 28, 1936 to the late Adam and Leona Carmen.

Josephine married Walter Hurst on December 20, 1957 in Ithaca, NY. After retirement, they travelled back and forth from Alabama to the Danby area. She was an avid sports fan who enjoyed golfing and watching basketball and football. Josephine was a kind and loving person, that will never be forgotten.

Josephine was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Walter Hurst. She was also predeceased by her 3 brothers, Lyle Carmen, Walter Carmen and Butch Carman.

Josephine is survived by her daughter Stacy (Ted) Bertot, son Walter (Jeannette) Hurst, Jr. Grandchildren Ryan (Jenny) Miller and Jasmine Hurst. She is also survived by her 2 sisters Beverly (Donald) Coon and Betty (Joe) Nages, Sister and Brother in Law Linda (Lewis) Stuttle, Sister in Laws Shirley Carmen, Betty Hurst and several Nieces and Nephews. 

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
