Obituary of Patricia Long

Patricia Long of Ithaca passed away at the Hospice residence on January 7, 2018 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 26, 1936 in Sayre, PA to Hazel Drake Long and John Long, she is survived by her brother, Dale, nephew Scott, niece Dawn, grandnephew Mason, cousins and many friends. 

Pat is fondly remembered for her love of all animals and her desire to help them whenever and however she could, her strong opinions and values, her willingness to help anyone asking for her assistance, and her adventurous spirit. She was an active political force in her community; she loved church dinners and yard sales (especially the Unitarian sale) and her time spent with friends. Her energy and spirit are missed by those who have had the privilege of being part of her life.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held at the Unitarian Church of Ithaca on June 9, 2018 at 11:00 am.
