Bill, Andy and Tom: I was so sorry to learn of your Mother's death. I learned of it when I played harp at the Dewitt Comm Church on the 4th, and saw the bulletin in the pew.
I would have attended the Celebration had I known. Your mother was a dear, dear relative and friend of my Grandmother, of course. And I remember many occasions at Dorothy's house, and her cooking, and her hospitality. Again, I am so sorry to learn of this loss.

Bill, Andy and Tom,
What a force your mother was! I remember thinking as a little girl that she was a strong woman with a great spirit. I am sure you boys (in those formative years) felt the same.
Warmly,
Susan Coursen...now Brahaney

Bill, Andy and Tom,
Dorothy was a very special friend to me at DeWitt Community Church. She always inspired me with her deep faith and giving nature. She was the kind of person you wished you could be! She was also fun and smart and witty. I especially loved the days at DCC when she and Bill were together in the hallways.
She loved chocolate as much as I do and for Christmas, we often exchanged gifts of dark chocolate!
I visited her often at The Nottingham, but I have a feeling she must have been very happy in Ithaca, near family and at the wonderful home, Bridges.
I know she will be missed. She is now with the love of her life and one of the neatest guys I have ever met.
Peace and healing,
Chris Klemperer

Bill, Andy and Tom,
I am saddened to learn of your mom's passing. I have so many fond memories of her dating back to the OLD Fellowship hall and Chapel and her presence in my life.
Dorothy was always welcoming, smiling, kind and faithful. She was a role model for those growing in their faith, for which I am deeply grateful and while visiting Dewitt would always inquire about what was happening in my life.
I do know she held a very special place int the growth of Dewitt Community through her expertise working with my dad and Bill Cummins.
My prayers are certainly with you and your families. Her memory and witness lives on in the countless children, youth and adults she ministered to.
Our Love and Gratitude to you for sharing Dorothy with us.

Dorothy Jordan was an amazing woman!! She had a termendous impact on my life when I was a young collegiate at Alpha Phi where she served on the House Corporation Board!! It was through her kindness and understanding that allowed me to continuing in Alpha Phi. Her gift of giving back and caring is something that 25 years later still remain with me!! She was a role model for us girls!! I am sad to know she has passed, but I am sure the Angels are singing and welcoming her home into Alpha Phi's Silent Chapter!!!

I've known Dorothy for about 50 years, beginning when I was at SU and she she was an Alumn advisor in Alpha Phi and then at DeWitt Community Church.
Her faith and trust in the Lord was unshakable, she was so very intelligent, she had a wonderful sense of humor, a deep love and respect for Bill and her family, a heart of care and compassion; she truly was a gracious lady. It's been a privilege to know her, she taught me so much. Blessings to her family.
