To my dearest lifelong friend... I still can't believe that you are gone. I miss you so. I wanted to call you today and tell you that some of my early bulbs in the front garden are starting to come up. You and I looked forward to this so much every year. We were supposed to sit in the nursing home together, being badasses with our purple hair. I never had a chance to tell you that the last time you came to see me in NJ, I had this awful feeling that it would be the LAST time I ever saw you. It felt like a goodbye visit. I hope that you are healthy and at peace wherever you are, and that Tiny is with you, as well as the little brother that you lost so many years ago. I will miss you and think about you and tell great stories about the wonderful friendship we had for the rest of my life.
